As of 2009: The PWGFS Board decided to implement a mandatory volunteer policy. PWGFS has always been an all-volunteer league and without dedicated volunteers, we would not exist. During the registration process, you will be given a list of available volunteer positions to choose from. If still you decide that you do not wish to volunteer, for whatever reason, there is a $25 opt out fee.
As per ASA guidelines, ALL players will be placed in divisions based on their age "as of" January 1st of the current calendar year. PWGFS will allow players to move up one age division by request however, ALL requests are subject to a player skills evaluation and PWGFS board approval, no exceptions. Such requests MUST be submitted in advance by email to: pwgfs1@yahoo.com . The guidelines for approval of such requests are:
Spring: The player must participate in a skills evaluation and demonstrate that they would be in the top 50% of the advanced age group.
Fall: The player must participate in a skills evaluation and demonstrate that they would be in the top 50% of the advanced age group unless, only by age, the player must move up the following spring. This is only recommended in special sets of circumstances.
Registrations are not complete until the registration form and payment are received by the PWGFS Registrar. Players will NOT be assigned to a team or allowed to participate until properly registered. Upon registration, a confirmation email will be sent.
The PWGFS Board would like to encourage the use of our Online Registration Process by offering a $5 discount per season to everyone who decides to register using our Online Registration. For example: 1st Player Spring Only is $100.00 / Online, just $95.00
PWGFS offers an additional discount for those who register for Spring & Fall Both and people with more than one child.
It is the goal of PWGFS to keep the registration fees as low as possible. In order to achieve this goal, PWGFS utilizes monetary donations and resources provided by generous sponsors to offset our related costs associated to maintaining the league. Our teams are set for the Spring season using our Spring Tryout & Draft Rules. It is the intent of PWGFS to keep the teams intact into the Fall season using new players and players moving up from lower divisions to fill in open spots on the team rosters. This will be done using our Fall Blind Hat-Pick Draft Rules conducted by the PWGFS Player Agent and witnessed by the PWGFS Board. PWGFS provides one uniform per year Spring & Fall. In the Fall, new uniforms are issued only to new players and teams. Replacement uniforms may be purchased at an additional fee of $15 per player. Please notify the PWGFS Uniform Coordinator who will collect the added fee(s) prior to ordering the uniform(s).
PWGFS WILL IMPOSE A $30 FEE ON ALL RETURNED CHECKS.
THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS FOLLOWING THE REGISTRATION CUTOFF DATE.
Online Registration With Online Payment (Optional)
PWGFS is pleased to introduce you to our newest registration option. To register online, simply click on Registration Link Tab at the left of this page or click here. You will be taken to our secure registration site. Next you will be given the option to login as an existing player or as a new player. Initially, you will need to use the new player option. Once you have started, you will then create your own personal password for your future registrations afterwards, simply follow the step by step registration process. Before the registration process is completed, you will see a page showing the completed details of the registration and must initial that you agree to the PWGFS Hold Harmless Agreement & will abide by the terms of the PWGFS Code of Conduct. Next, you will arrive at a page where you are given payment options. At this point, you may click register and pay later (mail or online) or register and pay online using Visa or Mastercard. There will be a small convenience fee associated with the online transaction. Registration is now finished and you are taken to a summary page, which may be printed for your records. If you are mailing in your payment, make all checks payable to PWGFS.

PWGFS Lacy Scholarship Fund
The PWGFS Lacy Scholarship Fund was created to allow girls in our community the opportunity to play softball, who otherwise could not play due to family financial reasons. If you would like to contribute, check the space on the registration form or during the registration process and include your generous contribution along with your league fees.
